Went for another walk today. Well, I walk every day I can, but today was another significant event.
Shadows on the tree. Looked like a massive spider was casting a shadow. Only thing is, light was coming from the wrong way, and spider's aren't usually that thin.
Didn't have my phone on me, so I couldn't take a picture. Not that it matters much; I blinked and the shadow was gone.
Either I'm going crazy, or my ward is beginning to fail.
Not sure which I'd prefer.
To further mankind, it must exist. For mankind to exist, there must be sacrifice. Sacrifice to the slender man with the long limbs. A sacrifice of blood, and a sacrifice of steel.

How long has that been there?
I went for a walk yesterday, nothing really unusual at all. Woke with a headache, but some caffeine fixed that right up. I'm a caffeine addict in the worst possible way.
Anyways, I'm walking. The driveway at my parent's house (where I still live, and still plan to live at until I'm done with high school) is half a mile long, one-way. So, walking on that usually is some good exercise, and I typically go for two or three walks a day.
I noticed something strange. At first I was unsure what to make of it. It seemed pretty close to the operator symbol in my eyes. I'm not sure why that was the first thing to pop into my mind, but it was.
And then I went farther. And then I saw this.
Gonna do some digging in my memories, see if I remember anything strange from the seven years I've lived here. I really, really hope I'm just going crazy. If not, then... I don't want to think about it.
Just gotta be hopeful. I'm sure I've got a few repressed memories in my head. Bullied at a Catholic school from kindergarten to 5th grade, after all. Just gotta find the right ones.

Be careful, guys
Everyday we fight, we reinforce Slender Man's presence in this world.
Everyday we run, we let Slender Man destroy more lives.
Which do we choose? Do we fight or run? Make him stronger, or let him kill freely?
Many are running. Many are fighting. I'm a fighter, personally, but I have found something that should help runners.
Pewter. Pewter can help ward against the Slender Man. Let words flow over the pewter, and it will project an anti-magic field.
Slender Man cannot exist within such a field.
I have driven him back once, already, and my wards seem to be keeping him out.
Any pewter will do, just make sure it's pewter! Pendants, blades, bracelets, chairs. Dust, chunks, debris. Anything pewter.
Easy enough to find, could be life saving.
Remember that this is the Slender Man we're dealing with, though. He might have just left because he felt like it, and he might not want to bother showing up again. Who knows? Let the words flow.
If he really can't exist within an anti-magic field, it means he hasn't fully manifested in this world. It would mean that he is fading in and out of the After and slowly becoming more corporeal here.
If that is true, and I can show proof, I can muster up a few assassins to take him out.
Stay strong, everyone.
And Noah, if you're reading this, get some pewter fast. It might help, it might not, but better safe than sorry.

Music and Mental Magic
Mental magic has already been covered, along with some of its relation to music, but I would like to go further in depth with this, and with how mind magic can be transmitted through more than just physical proximity.
Firstly, music and its effect on mental magic. Music disrupts the flow of thought process, even if just slightly, by interjecting itself as something that should be heard and listened to; mental magic works in a similar way. The two somewhat negate each other.
In this specific case, having an iPod or other MP3 playing can also help to warn you when the Slender Man is near, since he has distorts any sound based technology that is near him. This is not entirely typical of mental magic, but it has not been unheard of for recording devices to malfunction within the presence of specific mind mages.
Some aspects of mind magic can be transmitted through sound, such as a calming sound transcribed with a magical presence. The Slender Man seems to be able to use this element of mind magic, which is very worrying; it is a rare aspect that is only found in truly talented mind mages. It isn't a difficult aspect of magic by any means, but only talented mental magicians can learn how to use it properly.
One last thing, possibly with little to do with the current topic. I recently finished going through all of the videos Noah (youtube account TribeTwelve) posted, and something caught my eye.
Slender Man's tendrils were visible on film.
This leads to two possibilities: either Slender Man is either an Iata devil or a Kitsune demon (he doesn't match descriptions of either), or he is a type of spirit, demon, or devil that I have no information on.
If he is Iata or Kitsune, then it is mind magic he is doing.
If not, then the tendrils are real. Don't touch, just in case.

A Brief Overview of Mind Magic and How Slender Man Uses It
First off, mind magic is pretty self-explanatory for people who don't study biology: mind magic is magic that affects the mind. For biologists, the question is how, not what. I don't know how exactly Slender Man can modify our thoughts, but I have a few ways of resisting his magic.
Listen to music. Inappropriately happy music. If you can't stomach it, at least listen to something that isn't too "hardcore". If you can make Slender Man seem ridiculous to you, and stay calm or even laugh in his presence, then you have beaten his fear-inducing magic.
Learn to multitask for everything. A mind with more than one train of thought is a very easy platform to resist his mental magic. From what I understand of this (mostly conjecture), most mind-mages can only alter one thought processor at a time, making a person with more than one able to easily re-assert their natural mind over the magic it is exposed to. One can manage to "create" another train of thought, to run simultaneously with the first, through forcing themselves to multitask during every daily task. Don't just eat breakfast; read a book or watch TV too. Don't just write an essay; listen to music while writing, and leave the TV on in the background. Hyping up on caffeine can help with the training, but then you'll need to either wean yourself off of the caffeine or have a good supply of it.
From what I have seen and heard, a few of Slender Man's powers may just be him exercising his mind magic to induce fear. The tendrils sprouting from his back may not actually be there, really; it might just be a hallucinatory manifestation of the fear he is inspiring in you. The hive-mind that he uses to manipulate the Slender-proxies is the one of the simplest ways of using mental magic; complete domination of those with a weaker will.
Humans fear what they don't understand. The limb-extending, the tendrils, the lack of a face; all are causing fear because we can't identify how he does them. He doesn't; he has a face. One can see an impression of his face if they have a strong enough will.
In addition, I've been studying all of the forms of magic for a long time. A few of my ancestors did, too, from what I can glean from their flesh memories. Magic is an exercise of extreme willpower and focus, even more than it takes to resist basic mind magic, but it also requires a... well, I don't know how to describe it. It is like a spark of existing power within you; it can be hereditary, but it is often random.
Search for your magic while you sleep. Enter with a mantra, something along the lines of "power", "strength", or "ability", to help you find it. You'll know if you have it, but you won't if you don't.
On that rather confusing note, I'll leave to continue my research into Slender Man's weaknesses.
Remember: Knowledge is Power.

SlenderSword: Introductions Are in Order
Hello all. This is my first time actually making a blog, something I was extremely reluctant to do after my research into the Slender Man. This is one of the symptoms of Slendersickness, but more on that later.
I'm not going to tell you much of my sightings, of what I see in the corner of my eye, of what happens here in Gilroy. I'm here to tell you all how to throw off the Slender One's influence, how to fight Him back when you see him, and, if I'm lucky enough to find out how, I'll share the secret to killing the Slender Man.
Yes, my blog will be focusing on harassing the Slender One's weaknesses and fighting him off. I have a rather interesting viewpoint on this matter, being descended from Native Americans, having near-complete control over most of my emotions, and gaining access to what I call "flesh memories".
The flesh memories are thoughts and memories that one's ancestors experienced strongly enough to form a genetic bond with their DNA, and are accessible to their descendants in times of emotional crisis. Think the Assassin's Creed games, but without needing the Animus.
So far, I've seen one of my ancestors killed by Slender Man in a flesh memory. This defies everything I though I knew about them, but I saw it.
Don't expect me to live for long. If I die in this work, someone will continue it from the notes I have on this subject.
Right now, all I have is a list of places to start.
Slender Man has been connected to the Yggdrasil tree of Norse mythos, and, while that is a less credible link, it presented some interesting leads; specifically, the snake which chews through the roots of the tree, as well as Loki the Trickster (more on how Slenderman could be Loki later).
Another lead is the connection to Germany as Der Grosse Man (The Tall Man), who, if I remember correctly, had two brothers more powerful than he (not comforting at all).
Although I know very little about the Fae, Slender Man could easily be one of their numbers; in fact, him being Fae would be the easiest possible way of exploiting weakness (all Fae are weak to iron).
Although this will likely present nothing other than some of his habits, I do have a flesh memory of my ancestor's death by Slender Man's hands; I know for certain this is from my Native American ancestry, although I might be able to find something from my Irish ancestry as well.
For an easier list:
Also, I've caught word of a few blogs that saw they've managed to cause some harm to Slender Man. I'll do my best to research those in addition to the mythology I've identified. If anyone can help with my searches, then I will gladly accept it.
Until I can compose the next entry, I'll leave you with this.
Don't let fear consume you. That would only be playing into his hand. Keep calm; he cannot touch us so easily.
