Alright, so, the book that emaciated chick threw at me (Demons, Devils, and Spirits) is written in Old Daemon, meaning I will only be able to get the gist of the work, at the absolute most.
Old Daemon is the initial language of the Demons, created when they were still setting themselves apart from the Devils, and is written phonetically, for the most part. It is slow going to translate it with my limited knowledge of the language itself, even discounting my complete lack of knowledge on its grammar.
So far, I have the first paragraph partially translated. Bolded words are words that I wasn't able to translate. Bolded words with parentheses after them are words I left untranslated for a reason.
I made a few guesses with the wording. I haven't read it out loud, however. Do not read these words out loud if you can help it. If you do accidentally read a word out loud, please, for the love of all, say "I reject what I have said" in your mind immediately. Failure to do so could potentially result in death.
Old Daemon is made up of power words, after all.
Sie (I assume this means "greetings" or "hello"), readers. I am Prinicio (word for "Strong One", unsure if name). If you are reading this in Makai ("Home"), benoa the book now. If you are from or in Astimenao, jurniosl mansd vertua! If you are Planditajn (translates to something like "humankind" or "manling", often used as an insult), this armnexsh may save your Griksi ("soul-life"). Meniok vetri.
